LOCATION
The Johan Cruijff ArenA, previously called Amsterdam ArenA, was built between 1993 and 1996. The Johan Cruijff ArenA is originally a football stadium, but can also be made into an event venue. With strict rules around the grass, only a few events per year can be given at this venue, and Verknipt has been given the honour of this on 19 July 2025! The Amsterdam ArenA was the first football stadium in Europe with a retractable roof. It takes about 20 minutes to open or close the roof.
