Practical

The event will take place on Friday from 21:00 to 04:00. Doors will open at 21:00 and music will start playing at that time.

Can I re-enter the event after leaving?

Doors will remain open throughout the event.

You can pay by card or cash at the event.

The event location is accessible to the disabled and wheelchairs. Do not hesitate to ask our staff for assistance if needed.

Verknipt maintains a zero tolerance policy on drugs. It is forbidden to use, trade or possess any drugs at the event. When the organization spots or confirms any infringements, the offender can be handed over to the police. When the delinquent is being caught he/she will be transferred over to the police.

There is an outside smoking area. Cigarettes are also available for purchase at the location

During this event there will be a list of prohibited items and our own list of house rules. Please read the list below carefully before entering the venue. Rules in other countries may differ from those you are used knowing from us. 

Prohibited items are: 

  • Hard, soft drugs (joints) & laughing gas
  • Chewing gum & lollipops
  • Weapons of any kind, objects that can be used in a similar way to a weapon or a dangerous projectile and do not obviously serve another, peaceful purpose (e.g. rucksack)
  • Medication if there is no medical document unequivocally confirming the need to carry and use them, irritant gas, pepper spray, animal repellent spray
  • Laser pointers, corrosive or highly flammable substances (e.g. spray deodorants, large perfume bottles & hairspray), fireworks, sparklers, pyrotechnic material, flares, smoke candles, Bengal fires or other pyrotechnic effects, poles or sticks, unless required in the case of mobility impairment, bulky items, unless specifically permitted by the event website
  • Weapons or objects that could be used as weapons, objects that could negatively affect the safety, health or well-being of visitors, aerosols, sprays, atomizers, fireworks, flares and transport vehicles.
  • Individual or uniform clothing or other objects intended to express opinions or advertising, unless previously expressly permitted by the organiser (in this case, the advertiser must provide the organiser’s written consent), advertising material of any kind, in particular flyers, unless previously expressly permitted by the organiser (in which case the advertiser must submit the organiser’s written consent)
  • Objects with discriminatory and/or provocative texts and/or expressions, polarizing or group-specific clothing. Commercial, political or religious items (unless they are typical articles of clothing of the respective religion) of any kind, including banners, signs, symbols and flyers, racist, xenophobic, left-wing and right-wing propaganda materials, especially those of parties or associations declared unconstitutional or otherwise banned, masks (e.g. balaclavas) that do not obviously serve costuming purposes and motorbike helmets, loose metal chains, which can be worn around the body for example (incorporated into clothing or accessories is allowed),
  • Electrical or other devices capable of emitting sounds, noise, music or odours that go beyond normal use (e.g. a mobile phone is permitted),
  • (Alcoholic) beverages and food of any kind, unless the visitor is dependent on them for health or medical reasons; the visitor must provide evidence of the exception.
  • Glassware, (plastic) bottles, cans, plastic canisters, foldable water sacks and/or other drinking containers, sticks, umbrellas, grinders, walking sticks ((medical crutches and aids excepted), animals, loose metal chains, chairs, seats and seating (e.g. polystyrene cubes), drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles, animals of any kind or size, other objects that are suitable and usually intended to disrupt the orderly running/course of the event or cause damage. 

How to get there

We recommend taking a flight to Verknipt Turkiye. We did some research for you to give you a head start on your trip to Verknipt Istanbul!

We recommend going to Istanbul by plane.

Istanbul has two airports: the most common and bigger one is Istanbul airport (IST) on the European side. The smaller one is Sabiha Gokcen Airport ( SAW) on the Asian side.

If you live or stay in Istabul and want to get to Volkswagen Arena, you can use public transportation or organize your route to drive there. Here are some options:

Take a Taxi: The most convenient option is to take a taxi directly from Istanbul Airport to VOLKSWAGEN ARENA. Taxis are readily available at the airport and will provide a relatively quick and hassle-free journey. The approximate travel time from the airport to VOLKSWAGEN ARENA may vary depending on traffic conditions, but it should take around 30-45 minutes.

Services like Uber or Lyft are available in Istanbul.

Public Transportation: Alternatively, you can use public transportation to reach VOLKSWAGEN ARENA:

By Metro
M2 Yenikapı – Hacıosman metro line can be used to reach Volkswagen Arena with a slight walk by using the “Plazalar” exit of the İTÜ Ayazağa station.

By Minibus
Zincirlikuyu-Ayazağa minibuses can be used to reach Volkswagen Arena by getting off at Uniq İstanbul.

By Bus
41AT, 41C, 41E, 47L, 48L bus lines can be used to reach Volkswagen Arena by getting off at Maslak Kültür Merkezi stop.

Car and taxi

The best option to travel and return home after the event: Taxis and Uber/Lyft are available nearby to take you back safely.

What are ‘sealed tickets’ and why can’t I download the tickets?

Recently Verknipt switched to a new kind of tickets: sealed tickets. These tickets can only be viewed and downloaded shortly before the event. When it’s time to download your tickets, you will get a notification by email from the ticket provider. If you’ve purchased tickets for a group of people, you’ll be able to assign the tickets or send them to your friends once they are available for download.

Why does Verknipt have ‘sealed tickets’?

Verknipt uses these sealed tickets because the ticket sale will be fairer. By using these tickets, it makes it impossible for scammers to resell their tickets through unofficial third parties/secondary markets. Tickets can only be sold through our verified partner ‘TicketSwap’ by Secure Swap. Through Secure Swap they exchange the ticket for a brand new one, so the buyer has a 100% chance to get into the event with the ticket. Also, it is not possible for sellers to ask more than 120% of the price through TicketSwap, so the ticket will always be sold for a fair price.

Is it possible to resell my ‘sealed tickets’??

If you decide to sell your ticket, it is only possible to do so through our verified partner ‘TicketSwap‘. You need your confirmation email to view your order. At the bottom of your order you will find a blue button, click the button to resell the tickets on TicketSwap. Only this way you can resell your tickets.

Keep in mind that the maximum asking price for a resold ticket is 120% of the original ticket price and that selling your ticket(s) to a new visitor always happens through SecureSwap. After selling, you can no longer use the ticket as it will be declared invalid.

Can I scan my ticket on my phone?

Yes. Make sure to put the brightness of your phone on 100%.

Can I cancel my ticket?

It is not possible to cancel your tickets. Choose a reliable platform to resell your ticket such as: www.ticketswap.nl or sell your ticket to your friends!

İstanbul’da yaşıyorsanız veya kalıyorsanız ve Volkswagen Arena’ya gitmek istiyorsanız toplu taşıma araçlarını kullanabilir veya oraya gitmek için rotanızı ayarlayabilirsiniz. İşte bazı seçenekler:

Taksiye binin: En uygun seçenek İstanbul Havalimanı’ndan direkt olarak VOLKSWAGEN ARENA’ya taksiye binmektir. Taksiler havalimanında kolayca bulunabiliyor ve nispeten hızlı ve sorunsuz bir yolculuk sağlayacak. Havaalanından VOLKSWAGEN ARENA’ya yaklaşık yolculuk süresi trafik durumuna göre değişiklik gösterebilir ancak yaklaşık 30-45 dakika kadar sürecektir.

Uber veya Lyft gibi hizmetler İstanbul’da mevcuttur.
