VERKNIPT is an event organization focusing on (hard) techno, industrial techno and other rave music. We host indoor and outdoor events throughout the year at different venues, booking well-known artists and introducing our visitors to new ones. In addition to Verknipt, we also host the yearly indoor and outdoor events of Wonderland Festival, in which we can put our otherworldly creativity. 

Verknipt was founded in 2012, but within a short time Verknipt has become a well-known name in the Netherlands. We are known for our amazing laser shows and the good vibe among the ravers! In recent years Verknipt has made its mark throughout the country. With many events such as Verknipt ADE, Verknipt Festival, Verknipt anniversaries, Hard Techno Specials, the NYE/NYD editions, Wonderland Festival, Wonderland Festival Indoor and many more, we have captured the hearts of many techno and house fans. Our vision is: “Nothing is mandatory, everything is possible”.

Who do we look for?  

• You are available from August/September 2023 until Januari/Februari 2024;
• You are available 4-5 days per week for a working internship (not a graduation internship);
• You are an energetic and social person with confident communication skills;
• You speak, write and communicate fluently Dutch and English, so that you can properly communicate with all our visitors; 
• You are flexible and don’t have the traditional 9 to 5 mentality;
• You are an HBO/WO student in the direction of Communications, Creative Business, Marketing, Event Management, Commercial Economics or Social Media.
• You are familiar with the social media channels Facebook, Instagram & TikTok;
• You are a proactive person, are solution-oriented and come up with new concepts easily; 
• Experience with working at events & social media is a pré;
• You are very passionate about techno music and events/festivals;
• You are proficient in creative writing and you like to think ‘out of the box’;

You will learn about the following and your tasks will include: 

• Being a part of the creative process of the look, feel and experience of our events and getting a chance to learn or see everything from A to Z around the organization of events; 
• Managing our social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok & email) by posting on our channels and replying to messages of our visitors; 
• Brainstorming about new content ideas, editing video content, choosing the right content to post on our channels;
• Writing persuasive copy to match the posts;  
• Working closely with the designer to fine tune the website and all event artworks;
• Working with a marketing planning and scheduling posts;
• Hosting giveaways, and coming up with new ways to encourage user-generated content;
• Helping visitors by answering their online questions;
• Assistance in creating our mailings/ newsletters;
• Updating and promoting our Spotify, YouTube & Soundcloud channels; 
• Going through all the content we have archived, as well as cutting our YouTube sets for viral clips to post;
• Editing content via Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva or other programs; 
• Experience the artists & our events from up-close, being a content creator at our events and creating TikTok content with our visitors; 
• Hanging offline promotion on location, such as posters and banners;
• When needed supporting the production & artist handling team before, during and after our events;
• Handling small logistics tasks that we are intending to carry out for Verknipt in the future, together with the intern from the other team;
• Not being a typical intern. You will be fully involved in the organization;
• Working in a team with like-minded young people!
